Sisón Pujol and Esther Agustench Present the 2022 ADG Laus Awards
The ADG-FAD, under the leadership of our CEO, Sisón Pujol, and our Creative Director, Esther Agustench, who also serves as the Vice President of ADG-FAD, recently hosted the 2022 Laus Awards for graphic design and communication during the 52nd edition.
On Thursday, June 16th, the Association of Art Directors and Graphic Designers, ADG-FAD, headed by our CEO, Sisón Pujol, and with Esther Agustench as Vice President, held the Laus Awards ceremony during the Nit ADG event. This gathering brought together 800 professionals and students from across the country.
In her welcoming address, Sisón Pujol expressed her gratitude “to all professionals and students who submitted so many projects for this edition, in a very challenging and difficult year for everyone. These projects serve as a testament to the resilience of our industry.”
Furthermore, the President of ADG-FAD highlighted that this edition “showcases inspiration drawn from counter-culture, evident in both identities and posters. Less is more in advertising, and in editorial as well as digital, there’s a focus on the functionality of interaction that places the user at the heart of it all.” She added, “Above all, concepts such as inclusivity, equality, the humanization of technology, and environmental consciousness shine through, both in the professional and student categories. Designers think this way. We think about inclusivity, equality, the humanization of technology, and our planet. It all comes from reflection, from intimacy, from beauty.”
Out of the 1,200 projects submitted in this 52nd edition, a jury consisting of 40 national and international professionals from our field awarded 335 projects across various categories, including 2 Grand Laus, 1 Young Talent, 37 Golds, 66 Silvers, and 229 Bronzes. These awards were distributed across 7 major categories: graphic design, digital, advertising, audiovisual, students, Aporta, and Aporta students.
The 2 Grand Laus were presented to La Negrita, for their website “Guía de Cirugía Cardíaca” for Ángel G. Pinto, and to F33 for the outdoor advertising campaign “No pongamos obstáculos” for the Madrid City Council.
In her role as Vice President of the ADG-FAD Board and Chairwoman in the graphic design and branding category, our Creative Director, Esther Agustench, presented the Gold Laus awards to:

With this 52nd edition, the Laus Awards have accumulated more than 30,000 projects submitted since their inception, involved 500 jury members from 10 different countries, honoured 6,000 professionals, and empowered 2,000 professionals. Sisón Pujol emphasized that these figures “aren’t just numbers; they reflect the effort of many professionals tirelessly pursuing excellence in every project, big or small, with a service-oriented approach, often without prioritizing profitability.”
The Nit ADG Laus event is the tip of the iceberg of the daily and tireless work carried out by the ADG-FAD team (Anna Guiot and Clara Salvador) and the current Board of Directors, led by Sisón Pujol and Esther Agustench, to make the association the voice of professionals and schools in our sector and to incorporate design into the transformation strategies of companies and institutions.
