100% reusable special edition packaging for Lékué

In recent years, the packaging sector has become more committed to sustainable development by introducing new methods to reduce its impact on the environment and provide savings on processes, energy and raw materials.

Consumers, for their part, are becoming more environmentally aware and have begun to make purchasing decisions based on sustainability criteria. No longer content with ecological and biodegradable materials, they are now demanding packaging that can have other uses. And this for brands is a great opportunity to give their designs added value and differentiate them from the competition.

Packaging is part of the product

Under the premise “packaging is part of the product”, we presented at MAISON&OBJET 2015 in Paris a new limited edition packaging concept for Lékué’s innovative, creative and unique deep steam case. A piece that responds to Lékué’s need to continuously reinvent its products and designs to remain innovative and stay ahead of the game.

It is 100% reusable, stands out at the point of sale and has an extended life in the home. Dual-use packaging that can be used as an apron and also features recipe ideas for easier and healthier eating.

Aimed at the traditional channel, the main goal was to build the Lékué brand by strengthening its corporate values: people, creativity and challenges. Using co-creation sessions and following our work methodology, we carried out a thorough internal and external analysis of Lékué’s needs, placing the focus on the market, sector, trends and consumer demands.

From this analysis, the following conclusions were drawn and represented in the final piece: the need to combine packaging and product, the use of a recyclable material and the creation of an educational and informative design: environmentally-friendly packaging that stands out at the point of sale and has an extended life in the home.
