Packaging design
Challenge
We conceptualised and designed the packaging for the Cocktail luminaire, by Francesc Vilaró for Grok, a manufacturer of high-end lighting in the contract and home sectors.
In NOMON we have always reckoned that packaging plays an extremely important role as a key piece of communication which can perfectly transmit brand values, but also the values of the product itself.
Process
Following this assumption, for the Cocktail lamp we developed a piece of packaging that, in addition to fulfilling the purpose of protecting the product, would also act as a display at the point of sale by communicating the product’s functionality and concept to the target audience.
The Cocktail concept / naming has been devised on both its function and design. Thanks to its uncomplicated mobility and the freshness of its use and shape, it can be placed in restaurants, hotels, exterior terraces and homes creating perfect atmospheres with its unique light.
This concept has allowed us to create a communication discourse which we subsequently made tangible in our art direction. The design of the packaging is therefore suggestive. It has the capacity to transport us to the moment in which we enjoy and savour our cocktail, while it also reflects a unique and familiar brand universe.
Result
TFor the launch of Cocktail, we also developed other communication materials, as well as different multimedia pieces that were key in their digital communication strategy. In them, we created a series of key visuals that transmit the essence and freshness of the lamp, as well as its main features: light intensity, portable in different uses and the upper mobility of the light source.
