Designing a collection that meets the needs of an eco-conscious world and consumers
Girls and boys are the future. Teaching them sustainability and generosity towards the environment is key to preserving our planet. Raising awareness is essential to turn sustainable practices into habits.
With this objective in mind we put forward the collaboration of Ecoalf + Miquelrius + NOMON DESIGN. Together we have developed the “Ecoalf powered by Miquelrius” collection, made with recycled and recyclable materials, a set of products adjusted to the demands of an increasingly eco-conscious world and consumers.
Process
Sustainable accessories to convey the importance of recycling and doing it correctly
The collection is made of notebooks, folders, backpacks and pencil cases promoting the message BECAUSE THERE IS NO PLANET B, which clearly conveys the importance of recycling. We also provide an explanation of how to do it correctly.
For the range of notebooks and folders we use 100% post-consumer recycled paper and cardboard printed with natural inks. For the range of backpacks and textile accessories, we use recycled nylon (25% coming from discarded nets, 25% from carpet scraps and 50% from pre-consumer nylon waste).
Result
We designed a collection of sustainable accessories to fight against the excess of plastics in the oceans
With this collection we do our bit in the fight against excess plastic in the oceans, a global problem that concerns us all. We also save on water consumption, we use renewable energies and we emit less CO2.
